Nuestro Árbol
Join us for the continuation of Nuestro Árbol (Our Tree) — a year-long cultural project examining our roots and our evolutionary growth into active, creative individuals in the world.
Organized and led by artist Mercedes Gertz in collaboration with the youth community organization MILATIDO, visitors participate in grounding exercises, enjoy a meal, and contribute to the creation of Nuestro Árbol (Our Tree) with photographs, drawings, and other ephemera. All ages are encouraged to participate.

Mila is a Mexican American 18-year-old living in Los Angeles. She is an avid reader, traveler, and activist with a heart for service. Mila believes that if young adults like herself were to have access to safe spaces like the Milatido community, teens would have the chance to have those meaningful and enlightening conversations that are so scarce nowadays and push them to find true passions. Looking to the future, Mila hopes to become a journalist shining a light and reporting on under-represented voices in her community.
